Jack BONFILS
All the social works in Vietnam described in the following pages could not have happened without the unremitting and passionate work of one man - Jack BONFILS.
Jack BONFILS was born in Saînt-Maixent l’Ecole on February 7th, 1921. After 15 months spent in Indochina in the 3/3 Rei, he was captured by the Vietminh on October 15th, 1950 during the RC4 combats. He spent 23 months at camp n°1 and was freed on August 11th 1952.
From 1998 onwards he was assisted by Mrs TRAN TO NGA in his work for the social programme of ANAPI in Vietnam.
Finally ANAPI wishes to thank all individuals and associations who have contributed through their generous donations to the social works in Vietnam; In particular ANAPI would like to thank the Foreign Legion.
